What is a space clearing?

It is the process of shifting the energy in a home or office to create the space to bring in your heartfelt intentions. Space clearing uses a beautiful and profound combination of blessings, tools, mudras, and essential oils to create an energetically sacred space and to call in the desired intentions of the client.

It does not deal with clutter or with the placement of physical items such as furniture, but rather with the clearing of dense or stagnant energy.

Why is it important to have a space clearing?

Everything is energy. Every person, every thought, every plant and animal, every seemingly inanimate object has an energetic vibration. Some of these vibrations are higher or lighter…what we often refer to as positive or good energy. But many times these vibrations are slow or dense…what we call negative or bad energy. Having a bad day at work, getting cut off in traffic, being ill, suffering a loss, having an argument with someone, all these things contribute to the negative energy of your environment.

This dense energy hovers around in your home or office and builds up over time with each new negative thought or incident. And while you may not actually feel it, it is creating a heaviness in your space and in your life which invites in more negativity. It can lead to such conditions as depression, lethargy, indecisiveness, and health issues. And it blocks the flow of good into your life.

Therefore, it is imperative to shift this heavy, dense energy to lighter, higher vibrational energy. Not only will your environment feel better, but it will also create the space for better things to come to you. Things like more peace and joy, greater abundance and success, better relationships…you set the intentions for what you want to bring into your life.

When is space clearing needed?

• Prior to moving into a new home or office to remove the residual energy of the previous occupants

• When you are trying to sell your home

• Upon completion of renovations, remodeling, deep cleaning, or decluttering in the home or office

• After a life change such as getting married or divorced, having a baby, or retiring

• Following an illness, death, or intense argument

• When you would like to create a welcoming feeling for yourself and your guests or clients

• Anytime you wish to call forth new intentions into your life or work, or when you feel that your home or office needs new vitality (once a year is recommended if none of the above conditions exist)

How does a space clearing work?

A space clearing involves a two-part process:

The first step is an in-depth interview with the client. During this time we talk about what is going on in your life and in your home or office, what’s working for you and what isn’t, what you want more of and what you would like to eliminate. At the interview we also go over a simple, hand-drawn floor plan of your space, which you will provide to me, and do a walk-through of your home or office. This process typically takes one to one and a half hours.

The second step is the actual energetic clearing of the space. I bring everything with me for this sacred clearing ceremony. The process begins with an altar which is created especially for your needs and intentions. I then go room to room to clear and bless each individual space. We complete the ceremony back at the altar with additional blessings and a clearing of the client(s). This process usually takes about one and a half to two hours, depending on the size of the space and number of rooms.

Is there a one-room option?

Yes, you may have only one room in your house cleared. This option is ideal for a nursery when you are bringing a new baby into the home or a bedroom after someone has been ill. It is also a good way to experience a space clearing if you are curious to find out more.

A one-room clearing consists of an email consultation to discuss your needs and desires for the clearing, an altar for grounding and holding your intentions during the process, and the actual energetic clearing of the room and the client(s).

How much does a space clearing cost?

Homes 3,000 square feet or less: $200
Homes 3,001 – 5,000 square feet: $250
One-room clearing: $40

Homes larger than 5,000 square feet and all businesses are quoted on an individual basis.

In-home or office clearings can be done throughout the Hampton Roads, Virginia area.

Distance space clearings are also available anywhere in the United States and Canada.
